New York: Alexander Soros received by the Head of State

The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received Monday evening in New York the president of the Open Society Foundations, Alexander Soros, who is also one of the leaders of the 2018 World Economic Forum.

As soon as he arrived in New York, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, received in audience Alexander Soros, president of the Open Society Foundations and one of the leaders of the 2018 World Economic Forum.

“The Head of State praised the quality of the partnership between Senegal and the foundation he chairs, present in the country through several projects. He thanked him for his commitment and for the support he gave, from the very beginning, to the choice of transparency made by Senegal on its public finances,” reports the Presidency of the Republic.

The two personalities also discussed, according to the same source, questions of peace and security and other subjects of common interest.
