NDOLA’S MASALA market has been reduced to ashes and the extent of damage is not yet known.
However, preliminary investigations have so far indicated that the fire is possibly an act of sabotage by forces that want to cripple the Zambian economy.
In the past, such acts saw Lusaka’s main market reduced to ashes, and just a few weeks ago, a railway was damaged causing a passenger train to derail and killing one person leaving many others injured.
However, when the main opposition leader Hakainde was in prison over Treason charges, his supporters had been taking credit of sporadic incidents of fire saying they were fighting for two things;
1. Hakainde Hichilema release from prison
2. For UPND’s “Right to be heard” in the constitutional Court over the 2016 elections.
It’s not clear whether or not UPND has given up on the second cry of not being heard but lately the opposition leader has stated that he can’t put behind the 2016 elections.
However, there have been various activities being undertaken by unknown persons believed to be mercenaries to sabotage Zambian economy in order to force regime change before the 2021 elections.
Currently, such forces are even influencing Mopani to chase workers to paint an impression that the government has failed.
