Southern Province Minister, Edify Hamukale has challenged the Zambia Tourism Agency – ZTA – to double their marketing strategies to increase domestic tourist arrivals in Livingstone.
And Dr. Hamukale has commended Mahogany Air for re-launching direct flights between Lusaka and Livingstone.
Speaking during the official launch in Livingstone, Dr. Hamukale said the coming on board of Mahogany Air will enhance connectivity within the country.
Dr. Hamukale said the move will also accelerate the development of the tourism industry in line with the government’s vision to diversify the tourism sector.
And Mahogany Air Chief Executive Officer, Jim Belemu, has thanked the government for giving his team an opportunity to operate and contribute to the growth of the aviation industry in the country.
And Director of Transport at the Ministry of Transport and Communication, Nicholas Chikwenya said the move taken by Mahogany Air to launch the Livingstone route, will attract investment in tourism in the area through efficient transportation.
