LFR 2026: The National Assembly rectifies the vote count
The National Assembly published, this Tuesday, November 3, 2026, a corrective press release relating to the vote on the preliminary question taken during the examination of the Amending Finance Bill (PLFR) 2026. Following a technical problem in the initial count, 17 voting delegations had not been taken into account, leading to a correction of the result of the vote.
In its press release, the parliamentary institution explains that “following a technical problem that occurred during the initial counting of votes, it was noted that the 17 voting delegations had not been taken into account in the result of the vote relating to bill no. 40/2026 relating to the Amending Finance Law (LFR) for the year 2026”.
After verification and rectification, these 17 delegations are added to the 109 voters who expressed themselves in favor of rejecting the text. The total number of votes in favor of rejecting the Amending Finance Bill thus stands at 126 votes.
This clarification therefore modifies the initial count of the vote, by reinforcing the number of votes counted in favor of the rejection of the LFR 2026. It also makes it possible to restore the exact result of the vote taken in the National Assembly.
The parliamentary institution indicates that this communication aims to “restore the accuracy of the voting results and guarantee fair and transparent information”.
