Gospel Artist Kings Mumbi has apologised for taking to social media matters affecting the nation, a few hours after Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo condemned the singer for his action.
Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo took a swipe against Kings Mumbi and another artist Brian Bwembya also known as B Flow, for what he termed disrespecting the Office of the Presidency.
The two musicians have recently come out strong on social media on issues of national interest, among them political cadres’ involvement in gold mining deal.
Other issues of concern include the growing Youth unemployment, High levels of corruption, Unequal distribution of wealth and further questioning why Lusaka Mayor, Miles Sampa was made to apologise to the Chinese community living in Zambia.
But soon after Mr. Lusambo criticised the artists, Melembe apologised and claimed that the video was manipulated by people with ill intentions.
