Kédougou: Minister of Labor Mamadou Lamine Dianté at meeting with social partners

The Minister of Civil Service, Labor and Public Service Reform, Mamadou Lamine Dianté, met on Monday September 14 in Kédougou with representatives of workers and employers. The discussions focused in particular on working conditions, freedom of association and safety in mining companies.

The Minister of Civil Service, Labor and Public Service Reform, Mamadou Lamine Dianté, visited the regional services of his department in Kédougou on Monday September 14, 2026.

He successively went to the Public Service relay office and to the Regional Labor and Social Security Inspectorate. On this occasion, he held a working session with representatives of trade union organizations in the region.

The social partners, particularly from the mining, health, agriculture and livestock sectors, presented their concerns to the minister. Mamadou Lamine Dianté indicated that the various grievances will be examined with the technical services concerned.

The minister then spoke with representatives of employers and businesses established in the region. Discussions focused on company agreements, freedom of association as well as safety and working conditions, particularly in the mining sector. At the end of the meetings, several recommendations were made with a view to improving working conditions and strengthening the protection of work tools.

These exchanges are part of the approach undertaken by the ministry to strengthen dialogue with social partners at the decentralized level and contribute to the pacification of the social climate. They also follow one of the recommendations of the National Social Stability Pact.
