Record league kings Nkana have become the first club in Zambia to issue Smart Cards to season ticket holders, across all ticket classes, to access home matches at Nkana Stadium.
A Zambian company Dot Com Zambia developed the technology for the Football Giants, that was unveiled on April 7th, 2017
“What this means is that Nkana is the first team in the history of the Zambia Premier League and football in general in this country, to implement this technology.
“Nkana season ticket holders just have to scan their cards (embedded with a chip) at each home match to enter Nkana Stadium ,” Revealed Mawano Kambeu Managing Director of Dot Com Zambia.
Kambeu has since thanked Nkana and its principal sponsors Mopani Copper Mines for entrusting his company to develop and install the technology.
“It is a vote of confidence in us by the Zambia record champions and Mopani Copper Mines to entrust their technology needs this season to Dot Com Zambia and allowing us to push the envelope and innovate. The smart cards are the first in a series of wide ranging technology enhancements Nkana are making this season” Kambeu said.
“And I wish them the very best tomorrow as they kick off their 2017 Super Division campaign!!” Nkana fondly known among its faithful as KALAMPA was formed in 1935.
KALAMPA open the season against Nakambala Leopards today at Nkana Stadium and season ticket holders shall enjoy this technology for the first time ever. Season Tickets for VIP, Grandstand and Open Wing can be purchased directly from the Club.
