IT’S GAME OVER FOR THE UPND. PRISONERS’ VOTES WILL MAKE PF WIN – CHANGALA
Brebnar Changala has predicted that the prisoners votes will work in favour of
the ruling party.
In an interview, Changala said the vote from the prisons could be a deciding factor in this year’s election.
“In a nutshell, the prison vote will go to the ruling party. As you might know, the prisoners are not less than 30,000 throughout the country, and in the last election, the presidency was decided by
13,000 votes. There is no chance for the UPND to win the elections. It’s over for the UPND. Theprisoners’ constituency will make a decision and a decision in favour of the ruling party,” said Mr. Changala.
The Constitutional Court of Zambia ruled that prisoners should be allowed to vote after Prison Care and Counselling Association Executive Director Godfrey Malembeka successfully sued the Attorney General in the Constitutional Court and petition by an NGO called Prisca.
