GEARS’ FINAL TALLY OF UPND GENERAL ASSEMBLY RESULTS DISPUTED, AS UPND MEMBERS ALLEGE 100,000 VOTES ARE MISSING
Confusion has erupted within UPND resulting from the convention results released by McDonald Chipenzi’s GEARS which was the organization in charge.
Party members are accusing McDonald Chipenzi of seating on 100,000 votes after releasing a total tally of only 100,000 votes despite publicly declaring that a total of 200,000 votes was cast.
The aggrieved camp had earlier planned to demonstrate by matching to Hichilema’s residence in New Kasama from the Party Secretariat in Rhodes Park but were advised against doing so by Honourable Jack Mwiimbu in order to avoid unnecessary media attention and have now resorted to seeking legal by taking to matter to Court.
The aggrieved camp wanted to hire Counsel Mulambo Haimbe’s legal services but he declined saying he is an interest Party to the case by virtue of being a member of the UPND but information reached us that he was warned against doing so by President HH.
The aggrieved camp have since settled for Counsel Vincent Malambo of the Malambo and Company, advocates and Notaries and in a twist of events McDonald Chipenzi will be represented by one of Counsel Haimbe’s Junior lawyers at his frim. Technically Counsel Haimbe is the one defending McDonald Chipenzi.
