Champions League: Aubameyang disappointed after the elimination of OM

Europa League: With Aubameyang, OM’s list for the final phase

Olympique de Marseille has revealed its list of players selected for the final phase of the Europa League. A group of 21 Phocéens with the Gabonese Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and without the Senegalese midfielder Pape Gueye.

Olympique de Marseille will also play in the final phase of this season’s Europa League. Failing to snatch their ticket for the Champions League, the Phocaeans managed to qualify for the C3. And after the draw which threw them into a fairly tough group, the Marseillais published their list of players selected for this European adventure. A group of 21 executives without the Senegalese Pape Gueye, suspended for this tournament.

The midfielder is in fact serving a 4-month suspension, imposed on him by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in the dispute between OM and Watford. An action which stems from his controversial transfer from Le Havre to Olympique Marseille in 2020, when he was initially intended to join the English club.

On the other hand, the summer recruits will indeed be present. Renan Lodi, Bamo Meïté, Michael Murillo, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Joaquin Correa, Iliman Ndiaye and Ismaïla Sarr are among the players retained by Marcelino. As a reminder, OM launches its competition on September 21 against Ajax in Amsterdam. The countdown begins.
