Zambia has recorded four more cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of People infected to 16.

The country has however not recorded any death.

Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya says among the four new cases, three imported the disease from Pakistan while one involves a man from Luanshya that contracted it locally

And Chief Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya says church gatherings will continue as government monitors the impact of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, World Health Organisation representative Nathan Bakyaita has urged members of the public to adhere to the restrictions that government has put in place among them observing personal hygiene.

Almost 500 thousand people have been affected by the disease, with 22 thousand dead world over, since it broke out in December 2019
