Coup d’état in Gabon: the African Union suspends the country
Gabon has been suspended from all African Union (AU) activities with immediate effect, following the overthrow of President Ali Bongo Ondimba by the military. The AU Peace and Security Council strongly condemned this act and took the decision to suspend Gabon’s participation in all its organs and institutions.
