CAN 2023 (Q): Senegal and Rwanda leave each other back to back

With a largely overhauled team, Senegal conceded a draw against Rwanda (1-1) this Saturday, on the 6th day of the CAN 2023 qualifiers.

Already qualified for the final phase and assured of finishing first in Pool L, Senegal faced Rwanda this Saturday in Huye. A match without stakes for the Amavubi, already eliminated. And on arrival, the two teams parted with a score of 1 goal everywhere.

Senegal, which had fielded a largely overhauled team, made up of several players celebrating their first cap with the Lions, nevertheless opened the scoring through Mamadou Lamine Camara. They will be accompanied by Mozambique (10 points), second in the group, after its victory, 3-2, against Benin on Saturday.
