CAN 2023 (Q)/Mozambique-Benin: the release date of Gernot Rohr’s list known

The coach of the Guépards du Bénin, Gernot Rohr, will publish, on Thursday August 31, his list of players called up for the confrontation against Mozambique, counting for the 6th day of the CAN 2023 qualifiers.

Like other African countries, Benin will return to the pitch next September, as part of the CAN 2023 qualifiers (postponed to 2024) in Ivory Coast. The Cheetahs will face Mozambique in Maputo, on the sixth day of the qualifying phases. The Benin team will travel to the Mambas on September 9 at the Maputo national stadium.

As a prelude to this crucial meeting for the Beninese, the coach of the Guépards, Gernot Rohr, will face the press on Thursday, August 31. He is expected, during this press conference, to unveil the list of players selected for this deadline. The Franco-German technician will have the opportunity to justify his choices during this match.

Woe to the vanquished…

Held in check by Senegal (1-1) during the previous day, the Cheetahs must snatch victory against the Mambas to validate their passport for the trip to Ivorian soil.

Second in the standings after its logical victory against Rwanda (2-0) last June, the Mozambican selection only needs a draw to be one of those called to this African mass. As a reminder, the match is scheduled for September 9, 2023 at the Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo at 3 p.m. GMT.
