LINGUÈRE – The Catholic community of the Saint Jean Paul ll parish of Linguère celebrated the feast of All Saints’ Day in an atmosphere of fervor and contemplation. The mass was presided over by Father Armand Badiane, parish priest, in the presence of many faithful, who came to commemorate all the Saints of the Church and renew their Christian commitment.
In his homily, the celebrant recalled the deep meaning of this great Christian solemnity which honors all those who, known or unknown, have devoted their lives to the service of God and their fellow men. He invited the faithful to inspire with their example, by cultivating every day the values of faith, humility, solidarity and charity. Returning to the lessons learned from the Gospel and the Beatitudes, Father Armand Badiane stressed that holiness is not reserved for a spiritual elite, but that it constitutes a vocation accessible to all the baptized.
According to him, it is built in simple everyday actions, through forgiveness, sharing, listening and selfless service towards others.
Faced with divisions, tensions and misunderstandings which sometimes weaken human relationships.
He called on everyone to become an architect of peace, dialogue and reconciliation. For him, Christian witness is manifested as much in places of worship as in daily behavior, through respect for others, the spirit of collaboration and the constant search for the common good. << Holiness is a path accessible to all. It is built in the small gestures of each day, in love of neighbor, forgiveness and service,” he recalled to the assembly.
The celebration, marked by liturgical songs, prayers and moments of meditation, allowed the faithful to intensely experience this major feast of the Catholic calendar. Many people welcomed a message centered on social cohesion, fraternity and living together, in a context where the values of solidarity remain more necessary than ever.
