Linguère: a mobile money operator attacked and robbed

Abdou Ngack, a mobile money operator at the Linguère central market, was the victim of a violent attack on Thursday on the laterite section linking Linguère to Ngayène, while he was heading towards his village of origin, Ndia.

While he was riding a motorcycle, he was intercepted by two individuals on “Jakarta” type motorcycles. The attackers sprayed him with a chemical product in the face, momentarily blinding him, before snatching his cell phone and a bag containing 450,000 CFA francs.

The attackers also emptied his motorcycle’s fuel tank, thus immobilizing the vehicle, before fleeing.

Deeply shocked by this attack, the victim filed a complaint with the urban police station and the Linguère gendarmerie brigade. An investigation was opened to find the perpetrators of this attack.
