Sunu Champions and investments: Senegal strengthens its exchanges with the IFC

Prime Minister Ahmadou Alhaminou Mouhamed Lô received, Thursday, October 29, the Director General of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Makhtar Diop, to take stock of cooperation programs and prospects for strengthening the partnership, particularly around the “Sunu Champions” initiative.

The Prime Minister, Ahmadou Alhaminou Mouhamed Lô, received, Thursday October 29, 2026, the Director General of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Makhtar Diop, accompanied by a large delegation.

This meeting was the occasion for a working session devoted to the review of cooperation programs between Senegal and this institution of the World Bank Group, specializing in the development of the private sector in emerging countries.

The discussions focused in particular on supporting the “Sunu Champions” initiative, supported by the State of Senegal, as well as on the prospects for strengthening the partnership between the two parties.

The discussions also made it possible to discuss the possibilities for consolidating this cooperation in strategic sectors of the Senegalese economy.
