American Global Business awards 2026 in Morocco: Lamine Niang of “Soleil” doubly awarded in Marrakech
The general director of “Le Soleil”, Lamine Niang, returned from the American Global Business Awards (Agba) 2026 in Marrakech (Morocco), crowned with two awards with “Le Soleil”: Top 100 Ceo of the year and African media excellence award of the year.
Honored in two categories at the American Global Business Awards, in a ceremony held last Saturday October 10 in Marrakech (Morocco), the general director of the daily newspaper “Le Soleil” once again marks the influence of the national star.

Winner of the “African media excellence award of the year” and distinguished in the “Top 100 Ceo of the year”, Lamine Niang received his trophies in front of an audience of 200 leaders from several countries.

In a 2026 edition which aimed to illuminate “the journeys, the capacity for innovation and the social and economic contributions of the leaders of the Arab world and Africa”, Lamine Niang was delighted that this double recognition distinguishes and encourages “Le Soleil” in the modernization of its governance, the diversification of its products and activities, as well as the strengthening of its editorial offering.

In addition to readers and African youth, the director general dedicated the awards to the staff of the national daily, to whom he paid tribute. “All of these innovations in recent years are supported by a dedicated, high-quality team. They are fully backed by “Vision Senegal 2050”, which gives a central place to human capital and social equity,” reacted Lamine Niang, who has been at the head of “Le Soleil” since May 2024.
Mr. Niang also called for better positioning of African intelligence and talents on a global scale. In his opinion, still reacting to the awards ceremony, this type of forum for excellence demonstrates that Africa is full of quality human resources who only need good performance conditions.
Initiated by Founder Success Magazine, an American publication dedicated to leaders, entrepreneurs and brands around the world, the American Global Business Awards recognize personalities each year for their leadership and impact in business, media, law or culture.
