National Social Stability Pact: the Steering Committee convened on October 15 by the Prime Minister
Monitoring the commitments made within the framework of the National Social Stability Pact for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth (PNSS-CID) will be at the heart of a meeting of the Steering Committee scheduled for Thursday October 15, 2026, under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister. The announcement was made by the Minister of Civil Service, Labor and Public Service Reform, Mamadou Lamnine Diante, during the social symposium organized by the National Employers’ Council (CNP).
This meeting, under the theme “Private investment, Corporate governance, Freedom of association, Social dialogue and Social peace: what responsibilities of Employers, Workers and the State? “, should make it possible to take stock of the implementation of the commitments contained in the Pact.
According to Mamadou Lamnine Diante, the Prime Minister was informed of the state of execution of these commitments from the first working sessions organized after taking office. On this occasion, he was reminded that the Head of Government, in his capacity as chairman of the Steering Committee, is required to meet employers’ and workers’ organizations once a year.
The Prime Minister, however, expressed his desire to increase the frequency of these exchanges. He made it known that he did not intend to wait a whole year before meeting the social partners and declared himself in favor of holding quarterly meetings of the Steering Committee.
It is in this perspective that he requested the rapid convening of the body, the next session of which is set for October 15.
The minister also announced that the employers’ and trade union organizations will soon receive their invitations, accompanied by the preparatory document for the meeting, currently being developed.
Through the PNSS-CID, the Government intends to rely on a consultation framework based on reciprocal commitments between the different parties. These must be subject to regular monitoring, collective evaluation and, if necessary, adjustments agreed between the stakeholders concerned.
