Three deaths and four serious injuries September 21, 2026

A car overturned on the Mbour-Kaolack highway left seven victims, including three deaths and four serious injuries. The accident occurred today, around 7:40 a.m. near the village of Senghor between Fatick and Thiadiaye.

FATICK– Three people died in an accident on the Mbour-Kaolack toll highway, between Fatick and Thiadiaye. According to Fatick firefighters, the tragedy that occurred today around 7:40 a.m. involves a “7-seater” type public travel car. Coming from Kaffrine, it overturned near the village of Senghor. “The car skidded, left the road completely and overturned. The three victims died instantly,” informs a source from the Fatick fire company. Four serious injuries were also noted in this morning shock. Alerted, the firefighters deployed on the ground, then evacuated the injured to the Thiadiaye health center. The same source informs that the three dead bodies are all men aged between 28 and 31 years old.

Since the official commissioning of the highway in August 2026, eight accidents have been recorded, including two fatalities. For some observers, this increase in shocks is due to recklessness. Some even assume that drivers have not yet adapted to the new road. Hence the need to ride responsibly.
