Financing of the DER / FJ: The reimbursement rate considered low in Kaolack!

Recipients of funding from the General Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship (DER/FJ) are invited to fulfill their commitments in order to allow other Senegalese to in turn access the resources. The call was launched yesterday in Kaolack by the General Delegate of the DER/FJ, Abdoulaye Niane, on the sidelines of his national information and awareness tour.

In the capital of Saloum, the stage was devoted to discussions with local economic players on the financing and support mechanisms for the structure. Discussions focused in particular on Nano-credit, intended for small entrepreneurs, and the BE-YES program.

Accompanied by the prefect of Kaolack, Mamadou Guèye, Abdoulaye Niane explained that this tour aims to strengthen the proximity of the DER/FJ with the populations and to raise awareness of its systems. He especially insisted on the question of reimbursement. “The reimbursement rate is relatively low. These are not donations or subsidies. These are funds that people must repay. This is what will allow other Senegalese to benefit from it,” he recalled.

According to him, out of the nine departments concerned by the tour, 278 groups, representing more than 2,700 beneficiaries, should receive funding for a total amount of 578 million FCFA.

Abdoulaye Niane also announced the acceleration of the deployment of Nano-credit in municipalities not previously covered. For his part, Prefect Mamadou Guèye called on beneficiaries, particularly women, to rigorously manage the resources made available to them.
