CDC: Fadilou Keïta dismissed from his position as Director General
The President of the Republic terminated the functions of Fadilou Keïta at the head of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC). The person concerned announced on Tuesday that he had received notification of the decree terminating his functions and appointing the Secretary General of the institution to act in the interim.
Fadilou Keïta is no longer the General Director of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations. The decision, taken by presidential decree dated September 10, 2026, was officially notified to him this Tuesday, according to the person concerned.
An official end of functions
“ I received this morning notification of a decree backdated to September 10, 2026 terminating my functions as Director General of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) and appointing the Secretary General as Acting Director General “, he indicated in a publication on his Facebook page.
The Secretary General of the CDC thus takes control of the institution on an interim basis, pending the appointment of a new Director General.
This decision comes while a recruitment process was already underway to fill the position. A call for applications had been launched a few days earlier, with the support of the Organization and Methods Office (BOM), with a view to selecting the next director general of the CDC.
In his message, the former director general also wanted to thank the various actors with whom he worked during his time at the head of the CDC.
Fadilou Keïta particularly expressed his thanks to the members of the Supervisory Commission, the directors of the subsidiaries, the Fund’s partners as well as all the staff of the CDC Group, saluting their commitment and collaboration.
“The feeling of duty accomplished”
“Without any regrets and with the feeling of duty accomplished, I leave my functions by siding with men of honor and conviction,” he wrote. He also says he relies on divine will: “I give thanks to God and reaffirm my complete submission to divine Decree. »
By officially leaving the General Directorate of the CDC, Fadilou Keïta thus ends his time at the head of the institution. However, he announced that he intended to continue his activities after the handover ceremony.
The CDC is now placed under the interim responsibility of its Secretary General, while the selection procedure for the next Director General must make it possible to designate the future holder of the position.
