National Assembly: deputies convened on September 8 for the Prime Minister’s general policy declaration
The National Assembly of Senegal formalized, in a communication published on September 4, 2026, the holding of a plenary session on Tuesday, September 8 at 10 a.m. Only one item is on the agenda: the Prime Minister’s General Policy Declaration (DPG).
This deadline was set on September 1 by the Conference of Presidents of the institution, in accordance with Articles 22 and 77 of the Internal Regulations. The date comes after the postponement of a session initially scheduled for Tuesday, September 1 at 9 a.m.
This is a major constitutional exercise: the head of government, Ahmadou Al Aminou Lô, must present to the deputies the main directions of his action and the priorities of his team.
