Fight: Ama Baldé – Reug Reug: the shock set for June 6, 2027

Promoter Baye Ndiaye, boss of Albourakh Events, announced the date of the highly anticipated fight between Ama Baldé from the Falaye Baldé stable and Reug Reug from Thiaroye-sur-Mer. The two wrestlers will face off on Sunday, June 6, 2027.

Albourakh Events wants to make an impression during the 2026-2027 season. The boss of the structure, Baye Ndiaye, who had sealed the clash between Reug Reug and Ama Baldé since last year and who was therefore waiting for a date, has just officially set the meeting. Indeed, this big derby between Parcelles Assainies and Pikine is scheduled for Sunday June 6, 2027.

Initially planned since last year, the Reug Reug – Ama Baldé fight had experienced several postponements linked to the vagaries of the calendar and the choices of opponents. Indeed, after his victory over Gris Bordeaux in June 2024, the heir of Falaye Baldé first launched a challenge to Franc de Jambars Wrestling Academy. But during negotiations with promoter Baye Ndiaye, “ Seuleu bou Ndaw ” had accepted two potential opponents: Franc, whom he finally faced on February 16, 2025 and against whom he lost, then Reug Reug.

After honoring her commitment against Franc, Ama Baldé had to wait before crossing swords with her second designated opponent. But the numerous postponements of the fight between Boy Niang 2 and Reug Reug, in particular due to successive injuries to the two wrestlers, had pushed back the deadline. It was finally on Sunday June 7 that Reug Reug obtained his final ticket by dominating Boy Niang 2, thus freeing himself from his contract with Gaston Productions to put himself at the disposal of Albourakh Events. As soon as its victory over De Gaulle’s son, the “Lightning of Thiaroye” had reaffirmed its desire to do battle with Ama Baldé. Since then, no precise date has been set. For good reason, the heir of Falaye Baldé had required the time necessary to rebuild himself mystically and mentally in order to hope to emerge from the trough of the wave.
