Death of Fatou Ndiaye, known as Madame Turpin: an immense loss for the Senegalese feminist movement
The Siggil Jigéen Network (RSJ) announces with sadness the reminder to God of its executive director, Fatou Ndiaye, known as Madame Turpin, who died this Saturday, September 5.
For many years, Fatou Ndiaye has been on the front line in the fight against gender-based violence and in the defense of women’s rights.
Her dedication and her fights for the women’s cause will remain forever engraved in the memory of the Siggil Jigéen Network, her collaborators as well as all those who had the opportunity to meet her.
The funeral is planned for this Sunday, September 6 at 10 a.m., in Yoff.
In these painful moments, the Siggil Jigéen Network presents its sincere condolences to the grieving family, their friends and acquaintances, as well as to the entire Senegalese feminist movement.
