Touba in mourning: the Caliph General of the Mourides loses his son in an accident

The Mouride community is once again plunged into mourning. Serigne Ibrahima Mbacké, son of the Caliph General of the Mourides Serigne Mountakha Mbacké, died this Tuesday, September 1, the victim of a traffic accident, according to several corroborating sources.

This disappearance occurs in a particularly trying context for the patriarch of Darou Miname, recently bereaved by the calling to God of one of his daughters, Sokhna Mame Ami Mbacké.

The news sparked a wave of emotion within the Islamic Umma, with tributes and prayers for the rest of the soul of the deceased and for the comfort of his family.
