A few months before the next electoral deadlines, the presidential party already wants to occupy the ground in Casamance. This Saturday, August 29, Yankhoba Diémé brought together the leaders of Kiiraay-Les Patriotes Republicains de la Casamance around a slogan: consolidate, structure and mobilize to win.

ZIGUINCHOR – There is no question of letting the momentum drop. For the third day of his tour in the Ziguinchor region, the Minister of the Armed Forces and head of the presidential party in the South dedicated his day to the political leaders of Kiiraay. A meeting focused on listening, information and awareness, but above all focused on conquering the field. In turn, political leaders, including current and former mayors of Casamance, showed their determination to invest in the bases and strengthen the establishment of the new political formation. At the heart of the discussions: the massification strategy, the mobilization of activists and the structuring of the party in view of the next electoral competitions.

Faced with these political leaders, Yankhoba Diémé called for openness and unity. “We must welcome those who join us and give them their full place. We must serve the Nation with respect, humility and responsibility. Kiiraay must be a house open to all those who want to work for the Republic,” he declared.

But the politician above all warned against internal divisions. “You have raised hope and you have no right to disappoint. We must stand united, work hand in hand and move forward together towards victory. In Casamance, Kiiraay’s only adversary is Kiiraay himself,” insisted the child from the Bignona department, inviting “his” troops to keep “the construction of the country” as their compass.

For Yankhoba Diémé, the time has now come for action. “We must accelerate massification, with real dynamics on the ground. We must occupy the political space with determination and work as a party in power. We must embody the “Diomaye attitude”: working methodically, discreetly and efficiently, while remaining generous in our words,” he told the leaders who took part in the meeting.

His speech sounds like a road map for those responsible for Kiiraay in Casamance: invest the ground, strengthen the bases and transform the political dynamic into electoral force.
