COVID-19 LATEST UPDATE: 34 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded from 418 tests done in the last 24 hours, Zambia National Public Health Institute Director Professor Victor Mukonka has disclosed today.
The cumulative total of cases now stands at 866. According to Ministry of Health data, so far, 21 districts from six provinces are affected by the pandemic, with Lusaka and Nakonde being the most affected. Meanwhile, 105 people have been discharged from isolation facilities.
Prof Mukonka advised Zambians to avoid overcrowding and adhere to social distancing among other preventive measures prescribed by the Ministry of Health to fight COVID-19.
